Ikigai : The Japanese Secret of Living Long and Happy Life book review

Okinawa, the island in Japan has the most centenarians in the world. How do they live long life? What are their secrets for longevity? How do they keep their body and mind healthy? The book "Ikigai - Japanese secret to a long and happy life" gives answers to all these questions. The book is authored by Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles who researched and lived in the village of Okinawa, Ogimi.

The word Ikigai means the purpose of living and is based on blue zones means where people live longer life. Though it seems the book only talks about finding purpose of life, it also guides us for living a happy and healthy life. It includes diets and rituals that motivate and help to live a long life.

In my opinion, this book is very useful for inspiring to live a healthy and active life. It is easy to read and understand. This book is something more than just to find Ikigai. It tells you how finding and following your Ikigai increases the quality and quantity of your life.
